Thank goodness its Saturday

Not many blog posts from me lately.  I have been sick sick sick, for like 3 1/2 weeks and I just can't seem to shake it, its now a cough....a bad cough, nothing works and I'm coughing all day all night and going BONKERS because of it lol.  On top of that its just been a kind of a crummy couple of weeks, my husband lost his job, his job of 16 years and it honestly came as quite a surprise.  His mill had slowed down and shut down for a couple of weeks but always with the promise that things were going to be okay.  I can't even go into detail as the whole situation in my opinion was handled so very wrongly and I'm very angry about the whole situation.  He was given severence...thank goodness for that.....now after 16 years my husband is searching for a new career, I have no doubt that he'll find a great job that he loves and perhaps this whole mess is a blessing in disguise.
Onto other things.....like cards lol.  I have 2 cards to share.  One is my card that I made for Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge 8 and the 2nd is a card that I made for my girlfriends little girls first birthday.

5 Years Old

I made this card for my daughter "Cheyenne" who just turned 5 on January 16th.  I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed by, I still have vivid memories of all those sleepless nights lol.  It is true though the older you get the faster time passes....it seems to just be whizzing by me at amazing speed.
Enjoy your Sunday!

1st Birthday

Helllloooooo! Its official, I'm a bad...very bad blogger! Tomorrow would of been 1 whole month since my last post. I may be a very bad blogger but I'm very good at browsing other people's blogs lol. This seems to be my problem, I have intentions of blogging but then get so wrapped up reading all the blogs in my Google Reader and still never get to the end of the list. So I have said to myself is it all that important for me to have a blog.....no not really, I enjoy it but its not life or death. I don't want to delete it though either, then I'll really miss it lol.

Anyhow I do have a card to share! I made this last night for a friend, she had asked for a card for her nephew who is turning one. I was happy with it, thinking its pretty cute actually. If I weren't so lazy right now I'd run downstairs to get all the info on the card....perhaps tomorrow.

My son is kicking my off the puter now, goodnight...back soon....well maybe lol

Cupcakey sweetness

I {heart} the new stamps by "Taylored Expressions", I love cupcakes and these are just soooo super sweet! I'm going to have to watch my daughter, she's been eying them up since they arrived on Monday...she may be cute but keep those little fingies away from Mommies cupcake stamps lol.  I also have to say how nicely they stamp, I'm really impressed with them and will certainly be watching for new releases :o)

August 21, 2008

So I never know what to title my posts, is it really lame to just have dates? Sometimes there is a really appropriate title but most of the time I'm just stuck. Just a quick post, its late and I've been having such a problem staying awake at my desk, I get googlie eyes and my head starts bobbing lol...not a pretty sight, ask my sister...her office is behind me lol

I haven't decided if my card is too blue or green, kindof a bluey green. I kindof like it but I may of overdone it just a bit on the same colour.
Recipe: Bazzil Cardstock, PP by Basic Grey (two scoops), Flowers by Making Memories, Bling by Hero Arts and Rubon by Lasting Impressions.
