June Already

Wow time sure does fly by! I cannot believe that it is June already, sure would be nice to have some decent weather, getting soooo tired of this rain!  Although I did get to enjoy some nice sunny weather not too long ago.  I just got back from Disneyland on May 24th, did a girls + 1 boy trip, was super fun and boy am I missing the sunshine!!! My Mom took me, my daughter and my sister and then my Aunt, her Grandson and my Cousin joined us, lots of laughs!!!

Even though once again I haven't been posting to my blog, I have been making some cards! I'm going to post a few tonight, I will have a few more to share in a couple of days.  These cards are back from Mother's Day and even a bit before.  I don't have any info on them anymore, I did write it out but have misplaced the piece of paper...my life story! lol

I can't take credit for this card design, i got the idea from Julie Ebersole, I love her work and loved the card she made so I decided to give it a try...I was very happy with the end results!

Happy Monday

Ahhh Monday...1 down, 4 to go! Today was pretty uneventfull and I prefer my Monday's to be just that way.  Work, home, dinner and then took Cheyenne out to sell some Girl Guide Cookies....can you believe she sold 2 cases to 9 houses in under 30 minutes, I'm sure my girl has a future in sales!!  Funny thing was she was so disappointed that we didn't make it out of the culdesac, she has sold 5 cases now but looks like she wants to do more...so cute!

Tonight I will share a card that I made yesterday while crafting with Cheyenne, I seem to have a thing for owls...well at least the stamped or digi kind.  I took 2 pictures and couldn't decide which was the better of the 2 so I will post both.  I prefer to take my pics outside but just didn't get around to it.

Just a simple card but I liked the way it turned out.  I find alot of the time I try to put too much thought into a card and end up getting frustrated and leaving my craft room so these easy cards are where its at lately!

A Card to Share

Hello again, I think I could quite possibly be the worst blogger out there...eeek! I have such great intentions of blogging, I think about it often but then seem to get caught up reading everyone elses blogs lol.

I cannot believe how fast weekends whiz by, I don't feel like I accomplished much this weekend.  Yesterday Cheyenne and I went to our local scrapbook store, bought a few goodies, did a make and take for National Scrapbooking Day and then ran a few errands.  Today Cheyenne and I hung out in the craft room and made some cards...I'm soooo happy that she loves to craft as much as I do, fun for us to hang out and make stuff! I'm not quite sure which Cheyenne loves more...the crafting or going thru my supplies and trying to convince me that she needs them lol.

I made a few cards this weekend, I will share this one tonight.

Back from a 4+ month break

Goodmorning, its been a while....4 months to be exact!  So much has been happening, lots of changes in my life! Although I haven't been blogging I have still been crafting, unfortunately not taking pictures of many of my creations....a few though!!

The following cards are birthday ones I made for Ron's Mom and Dad and my Grandma's 90th Birthday....also one baby card in the mix too!  I don't have any info on the cards (sorry), just never thought to write it down...these are from a while back!

Just on my way to bed but thought I would make a quick post.  I have actually done a fair amount of crafting over the weekend....quite amazing for me, mojo has more or less been hiding but peeked its head this weekend lol.  I made my Dad a 12x12 canvas for Father's Day and also made Josh a little gift too.

Hello!! Wow...just about 2 months since I last posted. So much going on in my life right now my blog just got totally neglected. With everything happening I seemed to of lost my mojo....its is slowly but surely coming back though. Its so frustrating, I will go down to my craftroom and everything I touch just turns out to be a huge mess lol, either that or I just sit and stare at my supplies and can't make up my mind what to use. I have managed to make 2 cards (yay me lol) in the past 2 days, I have no info on them right now....that involves being organized and that just isn't me at the moment. I will post both of them and then I must get my butt into bed....I do promise to try and blog a bit more regularly. I also have been visiting all of your blogs, just not commenting....I will get back into that too!

Thank goodness its Saturday

Not many blog posts from me lately.  I have been sick sick sick, for like 3 1/2 weeks and I just can't seem to shake it, its now a cough....a bad cough, nothing works and I'm coughing all day all night and going BONKERS because of it lol.  On top of that its just been a kind of a crummy couple of weeks, my husband lost his job, his job of 16 years and it honestly came as quite a surprise.  His mill had slowed down and shut down for a couple of weeks but always with the promise that things were going to be okay.  I can't even go into detail as the whole situation in my opinion was handled so very wrongly and I'm very angry about the whole situation.  He was given severence...thank goodness for that.....now after 16 years my husband is searching for a new career, I have no doubt that he'll find a great job that he loves and perhaps this whole mess is a blessing in disguise. 

Onto other things.....like cards lol.  I have 2 cards to share.  One is my card that I made for Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge 8 and the 2nd is a card that I made for my girlfriends little girls first birthday.

Christmas Stampin All Year Long - Sketch #7

This sketch was "do it yourself", no sketch to follow.....uggh I really don't like mine at all, Maria deserves SO much better lol. All I can say is I was sick and boy did I struggle with this card LOL. Perhaps I need instruction lol. I just can't say where I went wrong...I just did lol Maria I promise to do much much better on Sketch #8. Mojo Monday - MOJO77

This is the first Mojo Monday Sketch that I've done, I visit their blog often and love browsing all the cards so figured maybe I should join in.  Overall I like my card but wished I had used a different colour base, the white is just to plain...too white....ahhh well...next time!

February Aloha RAK

Finally I'm posting my RAK that I received from De! It arrived on Wednesday but my daughter and I have both been sick and haven't had much computer time. De packaged my goodies in a pretty orange organza bag, I've had a thing for orange the last bit so of course I was oooing and awwwing over the pretty colour and then I opened it up to find a bunch of treats....chipboard, rubons, acrylic stamps, felt frame and the best smelling vanilla cherry lip balm (not in pic as it was in my purse upstairs at the time lol). And look at De's card, isn't it adorable, love the paper and colours. Oh and I can't forget to mention her business card she included, love the design and colours....of course I think I need some now lol. Thanks a bunch De, I appreciate everything!!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Sketch #6

Can you believe it...Sketch #6 already! I loved this sketch. With this sketch we were to use 3 (or more) eyelets but those were the only embellishments that we could use, easier then I thought!

Items Used: Patterned Paper by American Crafts, Cardstock by Bazzill, Eyelets from Making Memories and Stamped Image from Hanna Stamps

If you should choose to play along here are the rules (copy and pasted from Maria):

In addition to the sketch challenge you will need to use eyelets on your card. The catch is you can ONLY use eyelets. You may use as many eyelets as you want but the minimum is 3. So. . 3 or more, okay! This means no ribbons, no primas, no other embellishments on the card. You may use die cuts on your card but it has to lay flat meaning you can't layer the die cuts to make it look like embellishments (i.e., layered flowers using die cuts). Using glitter or shimmez is okay.

Upsy Daisy

I managed to make 5 cards over the weekend, 3 of which were made with my "Upsy Daisy" stamp set from Stampin Up.  I bought this set months ago and hate to admit I hadn't used it until yesterday.  Its definately a set I'll be using more often.

New Crafty Secrets Stampset

OMG I love this stamp set! I had been waiting to get my hands on this set for awhile, finally my LSS got it in and then it sat in my craftroom for over a week...why do I do that?!  My card is pretty simple looking as you can see, the chandelier is just so darned pretty I didn't want to overpower the image with too much "stuff".  I used the martini glasses in place of where the bulbs would be....cute huh?!

CSAYL Sketch #5

Sketch #5 from Christmas Stampin All Year Long.  I must admit I had some difficulty with this sketch, reason I think was I have never not had my image straight and it was killing me to turn it LOL...once I got past it not being straight I was actually happy with it....I love that these sketches are making me try new things!  You really must take a look at the other cards, the girls did amazing jobs!!

Maria also gave us a color combo to use with this sketch, not your typical Christmas colours but fun!

I'm alittle late on the Valentine wishes, only 10 minutes left.  Hope you all had a great day shared with loved ones.  My husband and I don't celebrate Valentines Day, I think of it as more a fun day for the kids.  Cheyenne had a party at daycare yesterday and I made a "lollipop garden" for her to share with her friends.  I came up with the idea at work on Thursday, I was pretty happy with how it turned out...other then I printed the saying out wrong, it should of read "if friends were flowers I'd pick you"....oh well the kids liked it so thats what counts :o) This girl is off to bed, I can barely keep my eyes open.

Before I end my post I just had to share this story from tonight.  I was putting my daughter Cheyenne to bed this evening and rubbing her back and this is how the conversation went...

Cheyenne: "Mommy, is it bad to lie?"

Me:  "Yes Cheyenne it is"

Cheyenne:  "Okay, then lastnight that plastic didn't just get in my mouth...I pulled it off of my underwear and ate it".

Me:  "Thank you Cheyenne for being honest".....exiting bedroom quickly to hide my laughter lol

Definately one of those conversations that I'll remind her off when she's older, my son and I had a good laugh over this tonight.  Out of the mouths of babes! :o)
